SDNCentral has started a Q&A panel about software-defined data center trends with the following speakers:
• Don Clark, director of business development, NEC
• Sunil Khandekar, CEO, Nuage Networks
• Howard Ting, VP marketing, Nutanix
They answer questions about how network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN) fit into the SDDC, how those two concepts relate to one another and what is on the horizon for SDDC.
I'm glad one of the panelists had a less positive opinion about "software-defined storage" (SDS). Howard Ting of Nutanix had this to say about it: "There’s been tremendous buzz and probably overmarketing around that term… In storage, you’re going to see more deployments."
